This data is now in the CQC...Actually, I was wrong. This data is now in the CQC Annual Report "Monitoring the Mental Health Act". The most recent data appears to be for 2015-16 which showed that 10% of appeals against detention under Sec.2,3 were successful, although 26% of people who appealed against section were discharged by their psychiatrist prior to the appeal. Change the cpn or the team to one which is more community inclusive. These lazy cpn's get paid for writing reports that lock up young people.
